Escape the Ordinary is an innovative Restaurant and Bars partnership between culinary visionary Matthew Butcher, Salter Brothers & IHG. Across both Sydney and Melbourne.
Taking inspiration from our picturesque beachy location and paying homage to the lively seaside bars and bistros of America’s east coast. Estate offers simple, tasty seafood dishes and incredible cocktails within a relaxed, casual luxe atmosphere. A local favourite for a quick drink, laid-back dinner or lively celebration. Estate is the perfect spot for our guests to gather with friends. Whether they’re primed for a big night out or they’re fresh off the beach.
AVAILABLE POSITIONS
Chef De Partie (Casual)
If you’re keen to create different styles of cuisine. Learn tricks of the trade and work with a tight-knit, creative team – then this role is the next step in your culinary career. As a Chef de Partie, you will look after a section and prepare an array of dishes catering for our two venues, Shutters and Estate. Overseeing the preparation and presentation of a consistent food product which exceeds customer’s expectations. You’ll pride yourself on delivering a fantastic culinary experience for guests.
Host/Hostess
As a Host/Hostess within the Estate team, you will assist in the seamless running of the restaurant. By providing a highly efficient and effective service. You will ensure standards are maintained and customer needs are anticipated. You will greet customers and escort them to their tables. Take, confirm, and amend reservations. Ensure all telephone calls and emails are handled politely and efficiently. You will accurately address the customers’ needs.
Food & Beverage Attendant
At the start of the day or the end of one, is there anyone more welcoming than a smiling face? As a part of our Food and Beverage team, you’ll be a helpful host, a local expert, and a proud brand ambassador. Whether you’re preparing drinks exactly as our guests want or serving them delicious food, you’ll be devoted to creating memorable experiences across our restaurants and bars, room service and banquets
